Tyra Banks surprises triple-threat Beyonce with a “Jay-Z-Boy” wedding gift. The talk show host also questions the superstar on everything from her favorite American Idol to what she sings in the shower.
The “If I were a boy” singer tells “The Tyra Banks Show” the last thing she purchased on her own was actually 20 copies of new album, “I am…Sasha Fierce” due to a ritual she has with her husband and friends.
“This is really embarrassing that you ask me this because I have a ritual me and my friends whenever, if Jay’s album or my sister or Kelly or Michelle, anyone’s album is coming out we all go and buy 20 of the record and I actually went and bought 20 of my own.”
Beyonce also tells “The Tyra Banks Show” the store told her she could only purchase one album due to the high demand.
“I went into the store and it was just me, I pulled out my card and went to the register and I bought 20 of my record…They actually told me I could only buy one because they didn’t want to run out of the records in the store. It was posted in the store, ‘You can only buy one Beyonce album’ and I was like, ‘Why are you doing this to me?’”
Beyonce also reveals to “The Tyra Banks Show” what she belts out in the shower.
Beyonce: “I always sing in the shower. The Whitney Houston song I think it’s ‘I will always love you’…You know because in the beginning it’s the nice reverb…It’s so embarrassing.”
Beyonce also reveals to “The Tyra Banks Show” why she always wears big earrings.
Beyonce: “I love big earrings because my ears are kind of big, so my earrings when they are bigger than my ears, make it look smaller.”
Tyra also presents Beyonce with a custom made “Jay-Z Boy” chair as a belated wedding gift to the singer.
Beyonce, who reveals she has never voted for an American Idol contestant, tells “The Tyra Banks Show” who her favorite American Idol is.
Beyonce: “Absolutely Jennifer Hudson.”
Beyonce also reveal to The “Tyra Banks Show” the last time she was a little tipsy.
Beyonce: “Probably my birthday. I actually went swimming and it was so much fun. I had wine and I was swimming and I’m like ‘life is wonderful.’”
Beyonce tells Tyra her favorite drink of choice is red wine.
Beyonce: “Red wine…I loved red wine. I like it dry. I like Petrus.”
Tyra, who considers herself and honorary member of the Knowles family and refers to Beyonce, as her ‘big little sister’ also presents the singer with a Fiercee Award.
